Lizzo's legal team has filed a motion to dismiss a harassment and discrimination lawsuit brought by former clothing designer Asha Daniels, who worked on the singer's tour. The attorneys describe the allegations as "meritless and salacious."

Daniels filed the suit in September 2023 in Los Angeles, claiming that Lizzo and her team fostered a "racist and sexualized" work environment. She alleges this behavior contradicted Lizzo's public message of inclusion and body positivity.

Lizzo's defense argues that Daniels was terminated after "abandoning her post" before a Paris show, citing poor work performance. They also contend the lawsuit was filed in the wrong jurisdiction, as Daniels is a New York resident who worked for a Delaware corporation in Europe.

Ron Zambrano, Daniels' attorney, dismisses the motion as an attempt to "shift blame to the victims," noting that three other plaintiffs have filed similar suits against Lizzo for harassment, discrimination, and retaliatory termination. He maintains that Lizzo, as the boss, is responsible for the alleged workplace conduct.

This case follows an August lawsuit by three former dancers who alleged sexual, racial, and religious harassment during their time on Lizzo's tour. The singer has denied all allegations on social media.
