Phish has raised over $4 million for addiction recovery through a three-night concert series at Albany's MVP Arena. The funds, generated from ticket sales, merchandise, and livestream revenue, will support the Divided Sky Foundation's recovery program in Ludlow, Vermont.
The concerts launched a $10 million campaign to fund facility improvements, expansion, staffing, and scholarships, ensuring treatment accessibility regardless of financial means. The Divided Sky Residential Recovery Program, founded by Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio and Melanie Gulde, offers a unique approach combining addiction recovery with outdoor activities and personal growth.
Notable fundraising efforts included:
- Special performances featuring custom Divided Sky merchandise
- Pre-show reception organized by The Waterwheel Foundation
- Distribution of 300 tickets to mental health professionals
- Participation of program alumni at information tables
"Because of these concerts, we will be able to help many more people take charge of their lives and recover from addictions," says Melanie Gulde, Program Director & Co-Founder.
This initiative follows Phish's previous benefit concerts in Saratoga Springs, which raised $3.5 million for flood recovery in Vermont and upstate New York.
