Pier 17 Rooftop Venue Adding Glass Enclosure for Year-Round Concerts in 2025
The Rooftop at Pier 17 will transform into a year-round concert venue with the addition of a custom glass enclosure, set to debut in late 2025. This innovative structure will create a climate-controlled indoor setting while maintaining the venue's signature views of lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge.

Key features of the winter configuration include:
- Floor-to-ceiling glass sidings
- 3,000-person capacity
- New VIP balcony level
- Climate-controlled environment
- Removable structure for summer seasons
During summer months, the glass structure will be removed to restore the open-air format, accommodating up to 3,500 guests. The venue currently hosts over 60 concerts annually between May and October, with the new enclosure enabling an additional 25 performances during fall and winter months.
Live Nation will continue as the exclusive booking partner following a five-year extension of their partnership with Seaport Entertainment Group. This collaboration aims to enhance the venue's position as a premier New York City live music destination, offering an intimate atmosphere with panoramic city views throughout all seasons.
The transformation reinforces The Rooftop at Pier 17's commitment to providing an exceptional concert experience while adapting to seasonal changes, making it a versatile addition to New York's live music scene.
