Boiler Room, founded 15 years ago, has built an impressive archive of over 8,000 performances featuring more than 5,000 artists across 200 cities. Their YouTube content has accumulated 1.56 billion views, demonstrating their significant impact on the dance music scene.
The acquisition follows several major industry moves in 2024:
- KKR's purchase of Superstruct from Providence Equity Partners in June
- CVC's minority investment in Superstruct
- CTS Eventim's acquisition of See Tickets from Vivendi
- CTS Eventim's majority stake purchase in France Billet
DICE, which acquired Boiler Room in 2021, will continue providing ticketing services for the platform. Boiler Room's founder and CEO Blaise Bellville is expected to maintain his leadership role under Superstruct's ownership.
Superstruct CEO Roderik Schlosser emphasized Boiler Room's "distinct cultural approach" as a key factor in the acquisition. This move further consolidates Superstruct's position in the European live entertainment market while maintaining Boiler Room's established brand identity and cultural influence.
The transaction reflects the ongoing consolidation and evolution of the European live entertainment sector, with major players strategically positioning themselves for future growth and market dominance.
