T.I. and Tiny Harris have secured their full $71.4 million damages award in their lawsuit against toy giant MGA Entertainment over the LOL Surprise! doll line. The ruling confirms that MGA Entertainment infringed on the intellectual property rights of their girl group, OMG Girlz.

Judge James Selna initially considered reducing the damages to $17.8 million in January by removing the $53.6 million in punitive damages. However, after further consideration, he reversed his decision and reinstated the full amount.

The lawsuit centered on seven dolls from the LOL Surprise! OMG dolls product line that were found to have copied the likeness of the OMG Girlz trio. While MGA Entertainment denied the copyright infringement allegations, the court ruled in favor of T.I. and Tiny Harris.

Tiny expressed gratitude on Instagram, stating "Don't play with God's children! So thankful and grateful to our amazing law team." She specifically mentioned her happiness for OMG Girlz members Bahja Rodriguez, Breaunna Womack, and her daughter Zonnique.

T.I. defended their decision to pursue legal action, explaining that MGA Entertainment had attempted to portray them as aggressors when the company had actually copied their intellectual property. The successful ruling validates their claims and establishes a significant precedent for protecting artistic intellectual property in the entertainment industry.
