Jay-Z is currently not signed to any record label as an artist. Instead, he is the founder and owner of Roc Nation, an entertainment agency and record label he established in 2008. This marks a significant shift from his previous label affiliations.

Throughout his career, Jay-Z has been associated with several record labels. He started with Priority Records and Payday Records in the early 1990s before founding his own label, Roc-A-Fella Records, in 1995. Under Roc-A-Fella, he released many of his most successful albums through a distribution deal with Def Jam Recordings.

In 2004, Jay-Z became president and CEO of Def Jam Recordings, where he served until 2007. During his tenure, he oversaw the careers of numerous artists while releasing his own music through the label.

After departing Def Jam, Jay-Z founded Roc Nation in 2008 through a $150 million deal with Live Nation. This move transformed his role from signed artist to label owner and business mogul. Through Roc Nation, he now manages artists, producers, songwriters, and athletes.

The last album Jay-Z released through a traditional record label was "The Blueprint 3" in 2009, which was distributed by Atlantic Records. Since then, he has released his music through Roc Nation, including collaborative projects like "Watch the Throne" with Kanye West and "Everything Is Love" with Beyoncé.

In summary, Jay-Z has evolved beyond being signed to a record label, operating instead as an independent artist through his own company, Roc Nation, which serves as both a record label and full-service entertainment agency.
