The settlement between Drake and iHeartMedia was confirmed in recent court documents, with attorneys describing it as "an amicable resolution." Specific terms remain undisclosed.

Drake's original lawsuit, filed in November, alleged that iHeartMedia received illegal payments from UMG to increase airplay for Lamar's "Not Like Us." The 38-year-old rapper's separate defamation case against UMG, filed in January in New York federal court, remains active.

Key allegations in Drake's UMG lawsuit include:

  • Claims of "irregular and inappropriate business practices" to promote Lamar's track
  • Accusations that UMG knowingly promoted content containing false allegations of pedophilia against Drake
  • Concerns over the song's album art and music video content

The dispute gained additional attention when Lamar performed "Not Like Us" at the Super Bowl halftime show, though with controversial lyrics censored. The performance has since become the most-watched halftime show in history, partly due to the high-profile feud between the two artists.

A hearing regarding UMG's motion to dismiss Drake's petition was recently scheduled in San Antonio. The outcome of this ongoing legal battle between Drake and UMG remains to be seen.
