Swizz Beatz Faces Lawsuit Over $7.3 Million in Stolen 1MDB Funds
International fugitive Jho Low allegedly gifted millions in stolen Malaysian funds to rapper and producer Swizz Beatz (Kasseem Dean) as part of the massive 1MDB fraud scheme. A lawsuit filed in New York seeks to recover $7.3 million in misappropriated funds received by Dean and his companies.
Dean's companies, Swizz Beatz Productions Inc. and Monza Studios Inc., received funds through Low's network of fraudulent transactions. Of the total amount, Dean personally received at least $2.2 million in gifts from Low, who allegedly used Malaysia's sovereign wealth fund as a personal slush fund.

Recent court filings show Dean plans to fight the claim, despite previously surrendering an Andy Warhol painting gifted by Low to the Department of Justice. The funds in question were originally intended for Malaysian development projects but were instead diverted to luxury purchases and events, including Low's 31st birthday party where Swizz Beatz performed.
The 1MDB Board spokesperson stated: "Those who benefitted from this orchestrated theft will not evade accountability and will be relentlessly pursued until we have recovered our nation's rightful assets."
Angela Barkhouse, an independent Court officer overseeing the claims, confirmed they are conducting detailed investigations to recover previously unreported assets for the benefit of creditors IMDB and SRC International Sdn Bhd.
