The Ramones were primarily signed to Sire Records for the majority of their career, from 1975 to 1995. Sire Records, founded by Seymour Stein, played a crucial role in bringing punk rock to mainstream American audiences through their partnership with the band.

Their first album, the self-titled "Ramones" (1976), was released on Sire Records, marking the beginning of a relationship that would span nearly two decades. During this period, they released 14 studio albums through Sire, including classics like "Leave Home" (1977), "Rocket to Russia" (1977), and "Road to Ruin" (1978).

While Sire Records was their primary label, it's worth noting that the band's releases were distributed through different major labels depending on Sire's distribution deals at the time:

- 1975-1977: Distributed by ABC Records
- 1977-1982: Distributed by Warner Bros. Records
- 1982-1995: Distributed by various Warner Music Group labels

After their time with Sire, the Ramones briefly recorded for Radioactive Records, releasing their final studio album "¡Adios Amigos!" (1995) through this label. Following the band's dissolution, various compilation albums and live recordings have been released through Rhino Records, which manages Warner Music Group's catalog.

The band's long-standing relationship with Sire Records proved to be one of the most stable label partnerships in punk rock history, helping establish both the band and the label as pioneering forces in the genre.
